This was recorded in 1999, and was the first multitrack recording I have done. Timothy was singing the melody on this one.
18A 10.10.10.10.
And is it so! I shall be like Thy Son,
Is this the grace which He for me has won?
Father of glory, though beyond all thought,
In glory, to His own blest likeness brought.
Oh, Jesus, Lord, who loved me like to Thee?
Fruit of Thy work, with Thee, too, there to see
Thy glory, Lord, while endless ages roll,
Myself the prize and travail of Thy soul.
Yet it must be, Thy love had not its rest
Were Thy redeemed not with Thee fully blest;
That love that gives not as the world but shares
All it possess with its loved co-heirs.
Nor I alone, Thy loved ones all, complete
In glory, round Thee there with joy shall meet,
All like Thee, for Thy glory like Thee, Lord,
Object supreme of all, by all adored.

Here is the instrumental only version for #59A with the tune Cana. The speed does not matter so much without the words.

I’m not sure how this trackback URI thing works, so I thought I would put a link here from Tracy’s blog about Darius.
Neglected
I’m going to try to get a instrumental only version of the last recording out tonight as well as a new one. There could be some background noises. The kids like to help with this kind of thing, and I don’t want to take it too seriously so they see it as something pleasant they can help out with some day.

I found this tune in the 1965 edition of the Little Flock Tune Supplement published by Stowe Hill. If I could do it over, I would slow it WAY down.
59A C.M.D.
Not all the gold of all the world,
And all its wealth combined,
Could give relief, or comfort yield,
To one distracted mind;
‘Tis only to the precious blood
Of Christ the soul can fly,
There only can a sinner find
A flowing full supply.
Gold could not give the heart relief
The malefactor craved,
Ah, no! ’twas Christ, the Christ of God,
That dying sinner saved;
Faith’s view of Him who bleeding hung
A victim by His side,
He saw, he knew, the Lord was there,
The Lord for him had died.
O what can equal joy divine?
And what can sweeter be
Than knowing that this Christ is mine
To all eternity?
Safe in the Lord without a doubt,
By virtue of the blood;
For nothing can destroy the life
That’s hid with Christ in God.

This was sung today by RZ and I played the guitar at Helen’s Funeral. I do not have that recording yet. I made this recording to prepare an arrangement and practice for the funeral. RZ sung beautifully as she did at Christy’s funeral singing Here Is Love with Jeremy playing on the cello. I will post the recording of that here as well at some point, but if you watch the funeral video, you will see it.
Brahms Lullaby was used as an introduction, and then we sang the hymn as written. The last two lines were sung loudly to indicate the triumphant victory over the grave that Helen and many others sleeping like her are waiting for in the resurrection, which could take place at any moment!
14A L.M.
Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep
From which none ever wakes to weep;
A calm and undisturbed repose,
Where pow’rless is the last of foes.
Asleep in Jesus: oh, how sweet
To be for such a slumber meet,
With holy confidence to sing,
That death has lost its venomed sting.
Asleep in Jesus, peaceful rest,
Whence waking we’re supremely blest;
No fear, no woe, shall dim that hour
That manifests the Saviour’s power.
